From the age of 13, Montreal singer-songwriter Ian Kelly developed his passion for music by singing in various groups. Ian is a self-taught musician, director and producer. So for his first effort, Insecurity, Ian wrote, played all the instruments and recorded the whole thing himself. 

 

Shortly after its release, a copy of the album ends up in the hands of a researcher and Ian makes his first television appearance. Her performance convinced Audiogram president Michel Bélanger to offer her her first record deal. Supported by Audiogram, his second album, Speak Your Mind is certified gold with more than 45,000 copies sold in Canada. In support of the release of this album, Ian presents more than 150 concerts, in Canada, France, Belgium, the United States and England.

 

Her third album, Diamonds & Plastic, was released in Canada and Europe in 2011. When it was released, it ranked 8th in sales in Canada and 3rd in Quebec behind Lady Gaga and Adele. To date, the album has sold close to 20,000 copies in Canada and a 75+ date tour has taken Ian, his band and crew to several major festivals across Canada and Europe._cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

 

His most recent album, All These Lines, hit stores on November 13, 2013. It debuted in the iTunes top 10 in Canada alongside Eminem, Arcade Fire, Celine Dion and Lorde. There follows a tour in Quebec and two in Canada, one of which supports Sarah Slean, with whom he will also go to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and France.

 

In 2014, Ian built a studio in Morin-Heights, where he settled to produce his own music as well as that of other artists. He also composes music for television and film, while running his own label, Sunset Hill Music. Ian is constantly composing new songs for himself and other artists. Ian thus signs the lyrics of a piece sung by Céline Dion on the soundtrack of the English version of La Guerre des Tuques (Snowtime, 2015).

 

On June 23, 2015, Ian released his first concert film Ian Kelly Live / All These Lines Tour which reached #1 in sales in its category on iTunes. 

 

On March 4, 2016, Ian released a brand new album, SuperFolk, which received overwhelmingly positive reception.
